Red Bank Veterinary Hospital is seeking an Overnight Inpatient Veterinary Technician to join our state-of-the-art facility in Red Bank, NJ. The role focuses on providing care for hospitalized patients, coordinating with veterinarians and a wide team to implement treatments, and ensuring high standards of patient well-being.

The position requires three years of experience, emergency care exposure, and fluent English.

Qualifications

• Fluent English (speaking and reading) required.
• Three years of experience as a Veterinary Technician in a hospital required.
• LVT/CVT/RVT credential preferred.
• Experience in emergency or specialty hospital preferred.
• Proficient with computers and EMR systems.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for hospitalized patients as determined by veterinary evaluation and RBVH standards.
• Assess patients and facilitate treatments under supervision of a veterinarian.
• Coordinate with doctors, technicians, and assistants to implement diagnostics and treatment plans.
• Perform basic nursing tasks: vitals, medication administration, phlebotomy, IV therapy, and catheter care.
• Triage, monitor anesthesia, and initiate CPR when needed.
