Red Bank Veterinary Hospital seeks an Inpatient Technician to join a state-of-the-art emergency and specialty team in Red Bank, NJ. The role supports hospitalized patients under veterinarian supervision, coordinating with doctors and other staff to implement treatment plans.

The ideal candidate has credentialed veterinary technician status and 3+ years in a hospital setting, with strong communication skills and proficiency in EMR systems.

Qualifications

• LVT, CVT, or RVT credential preferred.
• Three years of experience working as a Veterinary Technician in a veterinary hospital.
• Emergency or specialty hospital experience preferred.
• Fluent English (speaking and reading) required.
• RECOVER CPR certification a plus.
• Proficient with computers and electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for hospitalized patients per veterinarian's plan and RBVH guidelines.
• Collaborate with doctors, technicians, and assistants to perform diagnostics and implement treatment plans.
• Monitor patient status, vitals, pain scores, and respond to changes.
• Assist with nursing procedures, medication administration, and aftercare.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with hospital policies.
• Assist with triage, CPR and emergency procedures as needed.
