Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in Red Bank, NJ is seeking a Veterinary Technician (Anesthesia) to advance anesthesia and surgical skills in a cutting-edge specialty environment. Work in a 100,000+ sq ft hospital with MRI, CT, PET, 12 surgical suites, and dedicated ER. Sundays–Wednesdays 8:00am–6:00pm, full-time.

Credentialed technicians earn $27–$37/hr; non-credentialed $24–$32/hr, with comprehensive benefits including CE, license reimbursement, and pet discounts. Join RBVH's team of specialists.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• LVT, CVT, or RVT credential preferred.
• Three or more years of experience working as a veterinary nursing team member.
• One or more years of anesthesia experience required.
• Fluent English skills (speaking and reading) required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor anesthesia for surgical procedures.
• Provide comprehensive patient care before, during, and after anesthesia and recovery.
• Perform phlebotomy, sample collection, and peripheral IV catheter placement.
• Administer IV fluid therapy and monitor patient response throughout procedures.
• Prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment, monitoring devices, surgical instruments.
• Monitor ECG, pulse oximetry, blood pressure, capnography, and other critical patient parameters.
• Maintain accurate anesthesia records, including medications administered and patient monitoring data.
• Assist with advanced surgical cases.
• Calculate drug dosages, prepare CRIs, and administer anesthetic medications under veterinary supervision.
• Recognize and respond appropriately to anesthetic and medical emergencies.
• Communicate effectively with doctors, technicians, and clients regarding patient care and status updates.
• Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked treatment and surgical areas
