Job summary

Under supervision of the Registered Nurse, you will prepare patient charts, process physician orders, answer calls, and help maintain inventory while upholding HIPAA and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic computer skills with standard software for recording patient information.
• Strong reading, spelling and writing abilities.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient charts for daily use.
• Assemble charts for admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Process physician orders using hospital systems.
• Support patient flow with bed tracking.
• Answer phones and route messages while maintaining confidentiality.
• Protect patient privacy per HIPAA.
• Maintain unit inventory and stock supplies.
• Follow procedures for access to non-controlled medications.
