Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients charts, ensuring all forms and relevant information are ready daily.
• Assembles charts for admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Uses computer systems to process physician orders for patient information.
• Uses bed tracking systems to support timely patient flow.
• Answers telephones and routes messages to unit staff.
• Maintains patient confidentiality per HIPAA and Lahey policies.
• Inventories nursing unit supplies and orders new stock as needed.
• Follows procedures for access to non-controlled medications like IV solutions and vaccines.
