Job summary

UPMC Williamsport is seeking a Part-Time Telemetry Tech I for the Inpatient Clinical Monitoring Department to monitor patients' cardiac rhythms and ensure accurate telemetry reporting.

Evening shift 14:30-23:00, 24 hours per week, with alternating weekends and holidays. Candidates will be trained to troubleshoot minor equipment and collaborate with nursing staff to deliver high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Telemetry monitoring experience or familiarity with patient monitoring systems.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot minor telemetry equipment issues.

Responsibilities

• Instructs staff on nursing units to troubleshoot with minor problems (lead placement).
• Maintains effective inter- and intra-departmental communications, both written and oral.
• Maintains clean and safe environment and troubleshoots telemetry equipment.
• Demonstrates commitment to Service Excellence and patient confidentiality.
• Interprets cardiac rhythm of patients on telemetry and reports changes promptly.
