Job summary

WellSpan Health’s IP CMS telemetry team seeks a part-time on-site Telemetry Technician in York, PA. The role monitors ECGs, pulse oximetry, and other vitals using specialized software, and reports findings to care providers.

Requires minimal prior experience, a high school diploma, and BLS; EKG course and rhythm training preferred. The position involves daytime/evening shifts, weekend rotation every third weekend, and a yearly holiday requirement, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Less than 1 year relevant experience. Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
• Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician upon hire preferred.
• Successful completion of EKG course and competency exam required.
• Rhythm analysis training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors assigned patients for changes to baseline cardiac rhythm, oxygenation, or other vital signs.
• Responds to alarms and communicates changes promptly to staff.
• Documents interpretation of cardiac rhythms and related communications.
• Uses various software to manage telemetry data and patient records.
• Maintains equipment and collaborates with care team to minimize disruption.
• Provides coverage and support for team members as needed.
