Qualifications

• Must complete and pass an EKG class for Monitor Techs within 30 days.
• Pass required tests and competencies as requested by Select Medical.

Responsibilities

• Continuously watch monitors and respond to alarms promptly and appropriately.
• Verify identification of basic and lethal rhythms; maintain EKG monitor alarms.
• Complete EKG interpretations: rate, regularity, PRI, QRS, QT, ST, rhythm.
• Ensure strip interpretations are validated by RN.
