Job summary

Capital Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for Surgical Care Inpatient in Hopewell, NJ. The role requires delivering high-quality patient care using the nursing process across assessment, planning, and evaluation.

You will ensure patient safety, assist with pain management, and participate in discharge planning with a multidisciplinary team. You must be an RN with NJ or multi-state licensure, BLS, and various certifications (TNCC, NIH Stroke Scale, ACLS within 6 months).

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or nursing diploma from an accredited program.
• Current RN license for NJ or multi-state.
• BLS required; ACLS and NRP within 6 months as applicable.
• TNCC and NIH Stroke Scale certification required.
• 8 hours trauma-related CNE annually if in ICU/ED units.

Responsibilities

• Delivers quality care through nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Ensures patient safety by following policies and procedures.
• Assists in pain management and discharge planning.
• Collaborates with case management and health care providers for appropriate resolution.
• Participates in Joint Commission readiness and performance improvement activities.
