Job summary

The therapist at UofL Health will evaluate and treat patients referred to the facility, developing and implementing an appropriate plan and discharging them when appropriate. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, communicating findings to physicians, patients and families, while ensuring compliant documentation and cost-effective care in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/Doctorate in a therapy-related field.
• Licensed or eligible in Kentucky or Indiana.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience in patient evaluation and discharge planning.
• Ability to supervise staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and modifies therapy plans to maximize functional independence.
• Communicates evaluation results, treatment plans and goals to physicians and patients.
• Maintains effective relations with patients, families and staff.
• Considers cost effectiveness in treatment programming.
• Ensures charges and clinical documentation comply with regulatory standards.
• Oversees rehab technicians and students per policies.
• Participates in program development and quality improvement activities.
