Qualifications

• BS, MS or Doctorate level degree from accredited college or University (required)
• Varying based on practice setting and programmatic needs of the facility (required)
• Licensed or eligible in the Commonwealth of Kentucky or State of Indiana, as appropriate to the facility (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) accreditation by the American Heart Association (AHA) (required)

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and implements therapy treatment with regular re-assessments to maximize functional independence
• Communicates patient status to physicians and therapy customers with timely written or verbal updates
• Maintains effective working relations with patients, families, internal and external customers
• Ensures compliance with regulatory standards and department policies in documentation and charges
• Oversees rehab technicians, therapy assistants, and students as appropriate to the discipline
• Self-monitors workflow to sustain productivity and regulatory compliance
• Participates in program development and performance improvement activities
