Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmaceutical care in specialty and inpatient settings. Under supervision of a Pharmacist, you will assist with medication delivery, unit dose supply, and related take-home services while ensuring quality control and patient safety.

The position requires a high school diploma and eligibility/certification in Ohio; preferred experience includes inpatient pharmacy, IV admixture, and retail/home care exposure.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required; must meet state requirements for Pharmacy Technician.
• Eligible for PTCB or ExCPT certification within 90 days of hire; maintain certification.
• Active Ohio Board of Pharmacy registration or eligible for registration with 90‑day window.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists under supervision in the delivery of pharmaceutical care.
• Prepare and dispense medications in specialty and inpatient settings; participate in quality control.
• Maintain patient safety standards and uphold MetroHealth System mission and service standards.
