Job summary
MetroHealth Medical Center in Ohio is seeking a Pharmacy Technician under the supervision of a Pharmacist to perform a wide range of duties in the delivery of pharmaceutical care in specialty pharmacies (Pediatric, Critical Care, Oncology) and in the inpatient pharmacy. You will work with staff to deliver medication-related services to in-house patients and to provide related take-home medication services.
Assists Pharmacists with quality control procedures for drug distribution technologies,
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Pharmacy technician certification from PTCB or ExCPT.
- Active Ohio State Board of Pharmacy registration as a technician.
- Registration as Certified Pharmacy Technician within 90 days of hire or equivalent
- Willingness to travel to external satellite locations as a Pharmacy Trainee
Responsibilities
- Under the supervision of a Pharmacist, performs duties in the delivery of pharmaceutical care in the specialty pharmacies and inpatient pharmacy.
- Delivers medication related services to in-house patients, and the related take home medication services.
- Assists Pharmacists in performing quality control procedures for drug distribution technologies.
