Job summary

MetroHealth System is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pediatric, critical care and oncology pharmacy services. You will assist pharmacists in daily drug distribution and patient care activities within both inpatient and specialty settings.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and Ohio licensure/certification within 90 days. Candidates should be adaptable, reliable and capable of serving diverse patient populations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED is required.
• PTCB or ExCPT certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Must be registered with the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy or become certified within 90 days.
• Willing and able to travel to external satellite locations with reliable transportation.
• Experience in inpatient, retail or home care/pharmacy settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in delivering pharmaceutical care in specialty and inpatient pharmacies.
• Support quality control procedures for drug distribution technologies.
• Deliver medication-related services to in-house patients and take-home medications.
• Uphold the MetroHealth System's mission, values and customer service standards.
• Interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial and socioeconomic backgrounds.
