Job summary

METROHEALTH MEDICAL CENTER is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support specialty and inpatient pharmacy services, under the supervision of a Pharmacist. You will assist with medication distribution, take-home medications, and quality control of drug distribution systems.

The role requires HS diploma, Ohio registration or certification within 90 days, and the ability to interact with diverse populations. Travel to satellite locations may be required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam.
• 18 years of age or older with no felony convictions per Ohio law.
• Ability to interact effectively with diverse backgrounds.
• Current/active PTCB or ExCPT certification.
• Current Ohio Board of Pharmacy registration; maintain active status.
• Willing to travel to external satellite locations with reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of a Pharmacist, delivers pharmaceutical care in specialty and inpatient pharmacies.
• Delivers medication related services to in-house patients and related take-home meds.
• Assists Pharmacists with quality control for drug distribution technologies.
