Job summary

Riverside Health System in Hampton, VA seeks a licensed mental health professional to provide individual, family and group therapy, conduct assessments, and develop treatment plans for patients and families. The role requires a Master’s degree in a healthcare-related field, 2 years of clinical experience, LMHP licensure within 90 days, CPR/BLS and First Aid within 30 days, and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Masters Degree in a healthcare-related field is required.
• 2 years clinical internship in hospital or residential setting or clinical experience preferred.
• CPR/BLS Certification required within 30 days.
• First Aid Certification required within 30 days.
• LMHP-Supervisee/LMHP-Resident license within 90 days.
• Therapy supervision certification within 90 days.
• Weekend shifts are required.

Responsibilities

• Accurately assesses biopsychosocial functioning and documents for treatment planning.
• Provides individual, family, and group therapy appropriate to development level.
• Acts as contact for family members and educates on suicidality, diagnosis, and plan of care.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team and communicates patient needs.
• Completes medical record documentation per policy.
• Participates in supervision and coordinates with referral sources.
• Supports high census periods by assisting others.
