The role focuses on evaluating and treating patients with communication, swallowing, and cognitive-communication disorders, delivering evidence-based therapy, and educating patients and families for progress beyond sessions.

Qualifications

• Current Montana Speech/Language Pathology License (required).
• RQI Provider (BLS) within seven days of hire/transfer or before independent patient care, whichever comes first, required.
• Two years of experience in speech-language pathology preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs for patients with communication, swallowing, and cognitive-communication disorders.
• Deliver evidence-based, patient-centered therapy in partnership with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Perform comprehensive assessments, establish functional goals, and document progress in compliance with payer and regulatory requirements.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers to support continued progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Participate in departmental initiatives, quality improvement projects, and programs that enhance rehabilitation services across the continuum of care.
