Job summary

Geisinger Wyoming Valley is seeking an Inpatient Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive bedside care and collaborate with the care team. The role includes assessments, patient education, discharge planning, and ensuring high-quality patient outcomes in a clinical setting.

Eligible candidates may receive a hiring incentive up to $26,000 and salary rates starting at a minimum of $41.41 per hour, with potential additional shift differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program in Nursing is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments as established by scope of practice and unit standards.
• Addresses physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patient and family throughout the continuum of care.
• Formulates, coordinates, and provides plan of care as established in unit standards including patient and family education and discharge planning.
• Provides direct patient care including treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies.
• Evaluates effectiveness of nursing interventions and revises plan of care based on patient response.
• Initiates collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to resolve patient needs.
• Participates in unit-based decision-making regarding evidence-based practice.
• Meets unit and organizational quality and safety goals.

Education

Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Nursing (Required)
