University of Mississippi Medical Center is seeking an RN-Inpatient for the inpatient unit. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care, coordinate patient admissions, and counsel patients and families on treatment and conditions.

The role requires a valid RN license and may involve liaison with case managers, home health, and utilization review. Expect rotating shifts and hourly pay, with grant-funded considerations noted.

• Knowledge of clinical nursing care procedures and protocols.

Responsabilités

• Provides patient care by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating treatments and interventions for patients.
• Educates patients (and possibly family members) on topics such as the nature and status of patient\'s condition, diet and medication/treatment side effects and adherence to schedules.
• Ensures the safety of patients.
• Coordinates referrals to other services within and outside of the unit.
• Maintains accurate patient records.
• Functions as a preceptor in accordance with UMMC guidelines.
• Reports patients issues or concerns to supervisor as appropriate.
• Serves on nursing councils or committees to improve patient care or work area.
