Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where services are provided.
• BLS certification required; additional certifications may be required by specialty.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care while engaging patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources, and collaborates with the care team to improve outcomes.
• Upholds a culture of safety and monitors patient, team, and unit outcomes.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies per protocols.
• Demonstrates effective communication, feedback, and conflict resolution among staff.
• Pursues professional development and maintains required certifications.
• Adheres to ANA Code of Ethics and supports integrated, unbiased patient care.
• Delegates appropriately to RNs, LPNs, and unlicensed assistive personnel.
