Atrium Health Floyd is seeking a Resource Registered Nurse to join the Floyd Resource Team. The role involves floating to Floyd, Polk Medical, Behavioral Health, FSED-Trion, and Cherokee Medical to support patient care needs.

Full-time, 36 hours per week, benefits-eligible with BLS and RN license required. The position emphasizes evidence-based practices, safety, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team across facilities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) involved.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Engages in governance and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
• Pursues professional development and maintains certifications.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies per protocols.
• Communicates effectively and supports interprofessional collaboration.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units or facilities within the service area as needed.
• Provides age-appropriate care for patients across life spans.
