Job summary

Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center is seeking an RN for inpatient float coverage (PRN, Level 2) to provide high-quality nursing care across acute settings in Harrisburg and surrounding areas. The role may require assignment at Hampden Medical Center as needed to support patient needs.

The position emphasizes comprehensive assessments, medication administration, robust documentation, and adherence to clinical care plans.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the Interstate Nurse Licensure Compact required.
• BLS required prior to orientation completion.
• Minimum one (1) year experience in inpatient settings (med/surg, telemetry, PCU, or ICU) or emergency department preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient health problems and needs and develop nursing care plans.
• Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients and administer medications with monitoring.
• Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records and advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients’ conditions.
