Job summary

Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center in Camp Hill, PA, is seeking an inpatient RN for a day shift on a 0.90 FTE basis. You will assess patients, develop and implement care plans, administer medications, and maintain detailed medical records.

ICU float pool duties may include cross-training to AICU8, AICU2, and CVICU, with possible work at Hampden Medical Center. A 50% tuition discount begins 2027 for eligible dependents and a $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualifying candidates.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state of employment or multistate license via compact.
• BLS certification required prior to orientation.
• Minimum 1 year inpatient (med/surg, telemetry, PCU, or ICU) or ED experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Summary Of Position

The RN inpatient Nurse assesses patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records. The inpatient Registered Nurse administers nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients. The RN may advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention. The inpatient RN will maintain accurate, detailed reports and records and administer medications to patients while monitoring for reactions and side effects. The RN will monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients’ conditions.

ICU Float Pool nurses are floated to AICU8 (Step Down Unit), AICU2, and CVICU. Prior Critical Care Training required or eligible to cross train after 1.5 years.

In addition to Holy Spirit Medical Center, this position may be required to work at Hampden Medical Center.

Minimum Qualification(s)

• Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact required.
• BLS required prior to orientation completion.
• Minimum one (1) year experience in inpatient (med/surg, telemetry, PCU, or ICU) or emergency department preferred

Preferred Qualification(s)

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
