Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center in Camp Hill, PA is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Behavioral Health Inpatient Float. The role involves assessing patients, planning and delivering nursing care, and maintaining detailed medical records during night shifts on the behavioral health inpatient unit.

Qualified RNs will have PA licensure, BLS, and at least 1 year of inpatient experience. Eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus and tuition discounts for eligible employees and dependents.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The RN inpatient Nurse assesses patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records. The inpatient Registered Nurse administers nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients. The RN may advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention. The inpatient RN will maintain accurate, detailed reports and records and administer medications to patients while monitoring for reactions and side effects. The RN will monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients’ conditions. Float pool for behavioral health inpatient unit at Holy Spirit.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

• Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact required.
• BLS required prior to orientation completion.
• Minimum one (1) year experience in inpatient (med/surg, telemetry, PCU, or ICU) or emergency department preferred
• PA Act 31 Child Abuse Training Certificate

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
• Minimum one (1) year of experience in critical care, emergency department, and/or women's and babies preferred
