Job summary

Geisinger is seeking an Inpatient Registered Nurse Per Diem with the Central Region Float Pool. The role offers an hourly rate up to $57.75, with float premium up to $10 per hour and shift differentials up to $7 for evenings, nights, and weekends.

Responsibilities include bedside assessments, planning and delivering care, collaborating with the multidisciplinary team, and contributing to quality and safety initiatives across Danville and affiliated campuses.

Qualifications

• Must have current and/or recent bedside work experience specifically with float assignments or travel nursing.
• Minimum one year of bedside experience required.
• Education: Graduate from Specialty Training Program.
• Rotate among GMC Danville, Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital, and Geisinger Shamokin Area Community Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments as established by scope of practice and unit standards.
• Addresses physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patient and family throughout the continuum of care.
• Formulates, coordinates, and provides plan of care as established in unit standards including education and discharge planning.
• Provides direct patient care including treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies according to policy and procedure.
• Evaluates effectiveness of nursing interventions and revises plan of care based on patient response.
• Initiates collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to resolve patient needs.
