Job summary

WH Wheeling Hospital Inc. is seeking a registered nurse to deliver professional inpatient nursing care using the nursing process and independent judgment. The role emphasizes safety, patient education, and holistic, patient-centered care in a hospital setting.

Minimum qualifications include an active RN license and BLS certification within 30 days of hire; less than 12 months of RN experience is expected. BSN is preferred, with opportunities for growth through ongoing education and accreditation

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which services will be provided or multi-state license through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.
• Less than 12 months of experience as a registered nurse.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates safety and continuity of care using documentation, handoff tools/processes, etc.
• Demonstrates ability to create plan of care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnoses, intervention, and evaluation of outcomes.
• Recognizes patient safety concerns through appropriate resources.
• Provides education based on unique learning needs of patient.
• Performs an adequate patient assessment and documentation.
• Demonstrates growth in ability to care for more complex patients utilizing consultation with experienced colleagues.
