Job summary

Central City Concern in Portland, OR is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 16th and Burnside Recovery Center to support a residential treatment program. The RN will provide compassionate patient care, manage medical and medication needs, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and wellness goals.

This union-represented position requires Oregon RN licensure, preference for BSN, and compliance with drug screens, TB test, background checks, and HIPAA privacy standards.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with a valid Oregon license.
• Maintains the required licensure/certification in good standing.
• BSN preferred.
• Experience in behavioral health services preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen, TB test, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Complete nursing assessment at admission and develop a health and wellness plan.
• Triage medical issues to determine the best location of care.
• Oversee medication administration, storage, disposal and documentation for all medications.
• Take vital signs on admission and monitor weight, respiration, pulse and blood pressure.
• Consult with medical team to ensure proper medical interventions.
