Job summary

Cedar Hills Hospital in Portland, OR is seeking a Registered Nurse for night shift PRN to support our behavioral health programs.

In inpatient units including Crisis Stabilization, Substance Abuse, and Co-Occurring Disorders, you will administer medications and follow treatment plans. An ADN is required; a BSN is preferred, with an Oregon RN license and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Unencumbered RN license for Oregon.
• Strong communication and clinical judgment; basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Provide care on inpatient behavioral health units.
• Support patients in crisis stabilization, substance use, and co-occurring disorders on the night shift PRN.
• Adhere to treatment plans and clinical standards; read and execute policies.
• Complete required trainings within 30 days: Handle with Care, CPR, and Service Excellence.

Responsibilities

This opportunity is for a night shift PRN. We are seeking Registered Nurses with an interest or background in behavioral health to join our team and to support our patients in one of our specialty care programs:

Inpatient:

• Crisis Stabilization
• Substance Abuse
• Co-Occurring Disorders

Qualifications

Education: Associates of Nursing; BSN preferred.

Licensure: Unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse through the Oregon State Board of Nursing. Maintains a valid driver’s license, preferred.

Additional Requirements: Must be able to demonstrate core nursing knowledge/competencies including but not limited to medication administration. Must be able to read, comprehend, and execute policies, procedures, treatment plans, and clinical standards. Must have the ability to provide succinct and effective oral and written communications to co-workers and patients.

Demonstrate basic computer literacy. Must be able to make sound, independent judgements based on scientific and/or ethical principles. Knowledge of behavior management strategies to provide care for persons with psychiatric and/or substance use disorders, preferred.

Training: Must successfully complete Handle with Care, CPR and Service Excellence within 30 days of employment and recertify at the required intervals.
