Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. in Portland, OR is seeking a Registered Nurse for night shift PRN roles in our behavioral health inpatient programs.

You will support Crisis Stabilization, Substance Abuse, and Co-Occurring Disorders units, delivering compassionate, evidence-based nursing care. The ideal candidate holds an Associate Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred) and an Oregon RN license, with strong assessment, communication, and charting skills.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Unencumbered RN license in Oregon (OSBN).
• Driver's license preferred.
• Strong nursing knowledge including medication administration.
• Ability to read and implement policies, treatment plans, and clinical standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with patients and staff.
• Basic computer literacy and charting skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide RN care for behavioral health patients in inpatient settings on the night shift.
• Support Crisis Stabilization, Substance Abuse, and Co-Occurring Disorders units.
• Complete required trainings: Handle with Care, CPR and Service Excellence within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

This opportunity is for a night shift PRN. We are seeking Registered Nurses with an interest or background in behavioral health to join our team and to support our patients in one of our specialty care programs:

Inpatient:

• Crisis Stabilization
• Substance Abuse
• Co-Occurring Disorders

Qualifications

Education: Associates of Nursing; BSN preferred.

Licensure: Unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse through the Oregon State Board of Nursing. Maintains a valid driver's license, preferred.

Additional Requirements: Must be able to demonstrate core nursing knowledge/competencies including but not limited to medication administration. Must be able to read, comprehend, and execute policies, procedures, treatment plans, and clinical standards. Must have the ability to provide succinct and effective oral and written communications to co-workers and patients.

Demonstrate basic computer literacy. Must be able to make sound, independent judgements based on scientific and/or ethical principles. Knowledge of behavior management strategies to provide care for persons with psychiatric and/or substance use disorders, preferred.

Training: Must successfully complete Handle with Care, CPR and Service Excellence within 30 days of employment and recertify at the required intervals.
