Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a clinically competent Registered Nurse Inpatient to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for acutely ill patients, coordinating with the health care team to deliver safe, high‑quality nursing care. This role requires a BSN, Illinois RN license, BLS, and strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.

The schedule features three 12‑hour shifts per week (7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.) with every third weekend and rotating holidays, within our patient‑centered care

Qualifications

• BSN required
• Current State of Illinois RN license
• American Heart Association BLS
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate with others
• Strong analytic abilities

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes data to develop a care plan and coordinates delivery.
• Directs care and determines utilization of nursing assistants.
• Collaborates with patient, family and staff; documents plan of care.
• Participates in shared governance, committees and unit projects.
• Evaluates patient responses to interventions and updates the care plan.
