Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Illinois RN license is required.
• BLS certification required.
• BSN preferred; new grads after 1/1/25 must obtain BSN within 3 years of start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures within scope; monitor responses and adjust as needed.
• Monitor vital signs and document observations accurately.
• Coordinate care with physicians and other professionals; participate in discharge planning.
• Educate patients and families, considering culture and age; provide post-discharge resources.
• Maintain detailed documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Respond to emergencies and provide life-saving interventions as required.
