Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• PALS certification within 1 year for pediatric unit.
• ACLS certification within 1 year for ICU/IMC units.
• New Graduate RNs starting on or after 1/1/25 must earn BSN within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Administer medications and treatments per provider orders.
• Monitor vital signs and patient status; document changes.
• Coordinate care with physicians and team; participate in discharge planning.
• Educate patients and families considering culture and age; support post-discharge care.
