Job summary

St. John Rehabilitation Hospital, an affiliate of Encompass Health, seeks a Quality/Risk Director to lead hospital-wide quality management and drive patient care improvements. You will oversee regulatory compliance, risk reduction, and performance improvement initiatives across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• License or Certification as required by state regulations.
• Experience in Quality and/or Risk Management initiatives.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, accrediting bodies, corporate and hospital policies and procedures.
• Assess compliance with federal, state, and industry standards and coordinate surveys.
• Use applications such as PatCom, UDS, ORYX, and Press Ganey to identify improvements and generate reports.
• Maintain hospital plans (Care/Scope of Services, Leadership, Information Management, Utilization Review, Infection Control, Patient Safety) and oversee risk management.
• Coordinate review and implementation of hospital policies.
• Communicate and collaborate with departments to coordinate care and resolve concerns.
• Celebrate accomplishments of employees and foster a supportive work environment.
