Job summary

HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital is seeking a PPS Coordinator to support inpatient rehabilitation by ensuring accurate IRF-PAI completion and data integrity. You will collaborate with physicians and the care team to reflect patient needs and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Licensed as RN, OT, LPT, or CCC-SLP.
• 2+ years experience in an acute hospital setting required.
• 2+ years experience in inpatient rehabilitation preferred.
• BLS-AHA Provider card required within 30 days of start.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and ensures the accuracy and completion of IRF-PAI prior to electronic transmission within required time frames.
• Maintains knowledge of IRF-PAI software and provides expertise within the inpatient rehab setting.
• Maintains updated knowledge of IRF-PAI regulations and completion.
• Reviews clinical documentation and makes recommendations to verify rehab criteria and documentation compliance.
• Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to capture accurate patient assessments and treatment plans.
• Verifies appropriate CMG designation through chart review and staff collaboration.
• Audits IRF-PAI, clinical documentation, and billing information to ensure accuracy.
• Works with clinical team to ensure compliance at all levels.
• Identifies variances from standard care plans and suggests corrective actions.
• Interacts professionally with patients, families, staff, and physicians and handles concerns promptly.
• Serves as a resource to staff, students, volunteers and others in the department.
• Promotes teamwork and problem solving and participates in improvement activities.
