Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center Inpatient Rehabilitation unit (Physical & Occupational Therapy). The role is full-time with a 40-hour work week, M-F 8-5 and one weekend per month with comp days. Pay range is $41.10–$61.65 per hour.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in the state(s) of employment.
• Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
• Keeps up with continuing education requirements as mandated by state professional standards.
• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate patient care with knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan and accuracy in data interpretation for age-specific needs.
• Evaluate patients, plan care, and implement evidence-based interventions to improve function, coordinating with staff and directing support.
• Set functional goals with patients and caregivers and monitor outcomes to adjust treatment as needed.
• Educate patients and caregivers on diagnosis, progress, home programs, and equipment needs to support discharge planning.
• Communicate professionally with patients, caregivers, and healthcare teams; participate in multidisciplinary meetings to coordinate care.
• Complete all documentation including evaluations, progress notes, discharge summaries, and billing; ensure compliance with billing guidelines.
