Corewell Health’s Royal Oak Hospital Rehab Unit is seeking a part-time observer to support nursing and therapy teams. You will assist with patient care and safety, transport patients, and maintain documentation throughout your shift.

The role emphasizes teamwork, variable days, and a commitment to patient mobility and safe discharge home. CNA certification is preferred, and Basic Life Support is required for this position.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Previous hospital or nursing home experience preferred.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support required.
• Current CNA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care per plan of care and unit protocols.
• Safely transport patients via wheelchair or stretcher.
• Serve as observer for patients requiring constant observation.
• Perform receptionist and clerical tasks to support unit operations.
• Document care in the electronic medical record.
