Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Inpatient Rehabilitation Support role at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee. The position involves assisting with patient transfers, hydrotherapy, and basic care tasks in a 25-hour workweek schedule across weekdays with weekend shifts every four weeks.

Requires a high school diploma and BLS within 6 months. No prior experience is required; strong communication and age-appropriate care skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 6 months (per department).
• Good communication skills and ability to relate to people of all age groups.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients to and from rehabilitation area using standard precautions.
• Performs treatment modalities including hydrocollator packs, ultrasound, and paraffin.
• Assists patients with toileting, ambulation or unskilled exercises as delegated.
• Provides hydrotherapy treatment as directed by a therapist, including scheduling and cleaning.
• Orders and dispenses clean linen; maintains storage areas.
• Orders and stocks supplies; performs clerical duties as assigned.
• Performs patient positioning and transferring duties; uses proper lifting techniques.
• Demonstrates age-appropriate care and communication with patients.
