Job summary

Chesapeake Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide excellent, clinically competent patient care by utilizing the nursing process and collaborating with patients, families, and the healthcare team. The RN will ensure quality care and efficient resource use while adhering to nursing standards.

Responsibilities include 12-hour inpatient shifts, comprehensive assessments, care planning, accurate documentation, and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Virginia or a compact state.
• BSN preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an acute care setting highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care on assigned shift in inpatient units.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and document findings.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using established protocols.
• Safely administer medications and verify orders.
• Assist with discharge planning and patient education.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and infection control.
