Job summary

PAM Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) to care for a diverse patient population in our hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have inpatient experience or a strong commitment to learning in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include routine therapy, diagnostics, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures, plus equipment maintenance and basic phlebotomy. Licensing and certifications (BLS/ACLS) are required, with Nevada blood gas licensure if applicable.

Qualifications

• Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital resides to practice respiratory care.
• Must possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Blood gas licensure required if employed in the state of Nevada.
• For hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases, at least a high school diploma is required, preferably an associate degree.
• Minimum of one-year clinical respiratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) performs routine therapy, diagnostic and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients in PAM Health hospitals and maintains all equipment in working order.
• Provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing for the patient population as required or requested.
