Qualifications

• Associate or Diploma RN with 2+ years of experience; enroll in BSN/MSN within 1 year and complete within 5 years if not yet BSN/MSN.
• Preferred: BSN/MSN from ACEN/CCNE/NLN CNEA accredited programs.
• Active Ohio RN License; may require licensure in other states.
• Foreign graduates must have license validated through TruMerit per Ohio Board rules.

Responsibilities

• Maintain understanding of regulatory and accreditation standards; support leadership in compliance.
• Monitor safety and departmental policies; ensure certifications and Safety College requirements are fulfilled.
• Communicate safety and compliance concerns to leadership.
• Apply systems thinking to support patient and family care coordination.
• Follow algorithms; document plan of care and patient outcomes.
• Engage in coaching, peer learning, and professional development.
• Participate in shared governance and interdisciplinary teamwork.
• Promote interprofessional practice and culturally inclusive patient care.

Education
