Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health, Winchester Hospital is seeking a part-time Inpatient Physical Therapist (per diem) to evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans for orthopedic and medical diagnoses. The role offers flexible start-stop times, off-site parking, and a positive work-life balance in a busy inpatient setting.

Qualified candidates have a Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program; Master's or Doctor of Physical Therapy preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program.
• Master's or Doctor of Physical Therapy preferred.
• Clinical experience in an inpatient setting.
• At least three months as an inpatient physical therapist is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents an initial examination, evaluating data to identify problems and determine a working treatment plan.
• Plans, prepares and carries out individually designed treatment plan to improve or restore function, alleviate pain and enhance patient outcomes.
• Reevaluates the effectiveness of treatment and adjusts accordingly.
• Communicates with patients and medical practitioners regarding outcomes and expectations.
• Records prognosis, treatment, response and progress in electronic medical records and provides discharge reports.
• Communicates with physicians, allied health professionals, nursing, and case managers as well as patients and families.
• Participates in discharge planning and staff meetings.
