The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services' Southwestern Virginia Mental Health Institute in Marion, VA seeks a staff psychiatrist to lead a Treatment Team and deliver direct medical and psychiatric care to assigned patients.

The role includes consulting with colleagues, supervising nurse practitioners and physician assistants as requested, and participating in the Medical Professional Staff organization within the institute.

Qualificações

• Licensed to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• Current DEA certificate is required.
• Completion of an approved residency program in Psychiatry is required.
• BLS or ACLS certification is required (ACLS for on-call MOD coverage at night, weekends, or holidays).

Responsabilidades

• Lead the Treatment Team and provide direct medical and psychiatric care for patients assigned to the Treatment Team.
• Provide consultation to colleagues and supervision of nurse practitioners and/or physician assistants as requested, and participate in the Medical Professional Staff organization.
