RWJBarnabas Health seeks a per diem Psychiatric Social Worker to join the Short Term Care unit at Monmouth Medical Center. The role involves inpatient mental health evaluation, treatment planning, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to support patients and families.

The position requires a BA/BS, LSW or LCSW licensure, and 1–12 months of related experience, with day shift availability and 12-hour shifts. Per diem status offers flexibility with a focus on patient-centered care.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Social Work preferred.
• LSW or LCSW licensure required.
• 1–12 months of experience in a related human services field; psychiatric inpatient experience preferred.
• Scheduling: Per Diem, Day Shift (12-hour shifts).
• Ability to participate in crisis intervention techniques.

Responsabilidades

• Provide evaluative and inpatient mental health services and complete patient intakes.
• Facilitate psychoeducational groups, family programs, and participate in activity groups.
• Maintain safe unit environment; perform room checks and report hazards.
• Use de-escalation techniques; assist with crises and restraints when required.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transport for services.
• Coordinate educational records with home districts and liaise with schools.
• Prepare accurate medical records and incident reports per policy.
• Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning meetings and care plan updates.
• Contribute to unit QA programs and ongoing staff training.

Educación

Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) required
