Job summary
Southwest Behavioral & Health Services is seeking a Psychiatric Registered Nurse for inpatient care in Phoenix. This part-time weekend shift runs Saturday and Sunday, 7 AM–7 PM, with shift differential in a busy crisis unit.
Qualified candidates hold an Arizona RN license, 1–2 years of nursing experience, and knowledge of state mental health law and crisis intervention. An associates degree or better in nursing is required.
Qualifications
- Experience with crisis intervention techniques.
- Knowledge of Arizona Mental Health Law and Nursing Rules and Regulations.
- Associates degree in Nursing or better.
Responsibilities
- Completes a thorough nursing assessment and care plan for admitted consumers.
- Monitors patient medications in coordination with psychiatric prescriber.
- Leads patient care in crisis and discharge planning.
- Attends monthly Supervisor and All Staff meetings.
- Provides medication education and wellness groups.
- Oversees orientation and training of new clinical staff.
- Delivers therapeutic interactions and activities to patients.
