Job summary

Jobtome is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for inpatient psychiatric care. You will design and implement patient care plans, administer medications, and coordinate with physicians, staff and families to support recovery in a mental health environment.

The role involves pediatric to geriatric patients, adherence to policies, and engagement in educational and crisis-intervention activities. Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are available.

Qualifications

• Education: Essential: Program Graduate. Nonessential: Bachelor's Degree. Education specialization: Essential: Nationally Accredited Nursing Graduate. Nonessential: Nursing
• Experience: 1 year directly related experience
• Credentials: CPR for Healthcare/BLS Prov or Prof Rescuers, RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement, Aggressive Behavior Certification within 30 days

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for psychiatric patients and design care plans.
• Administer medication and coordinate treatments; may facilitate group therapy or education sessions.
• Educate patients and families on treatment regimens and safety; act as patient advocate.
• Coordinate communication between physicians, staff, patients, families and community.
• Follow department policies and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Assist with emergencies and ensure proper consent for tests and procedures.
