Job summary

Oceans Behavioral Hospital Hammond is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to lead milieu management and direct nursing care for adults and seniors with mental health needs. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, administer medications, and document progress in compliance with policy and standards.

Expect 12-hour rotating shifts and opportunities for sponsorships and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license in the employed state or compact license.
• Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing required.
• CPR certification and de-escalation training required or completed.

Responsibilities

• Lead milieu management and supervise nursing staff activities.
• Assess patients using nursing process to form care plans.
• Administer medications safely and provide patient education.
• Document care, progress, and response to treatment accurately.
• Maintain professionalism and ensure compliance with policy and standards.
• Coordinate with other staff and departments for patient needs.
