Oceans Behavioral Hospital Alexandria is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide patient-centered care in an inpatient psychiatric setting. The role emphasizes leadership in milieu management and collaboration with nursing staff to deliver safe, effective treatment.

We offer sponsorships for RNs and require an active Louisiana RN license, with an associate degree in nursing. CPR certification and adherence to regulatory standards are also expected.

Formación

• Current, valid RN license in the state of employment.
• Valid Compact licenses are acceptable.
• Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing is required.
• One year of inpatient hospital experience strongly preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Identify risk levels and discharge planning for each patient.
• Apply psychiatric nursing interventions and maintain patient wellness.
• Administer medications as prescribed and educate on their use.
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records.
• Communicate patient needs and updates to the care team during shifts.
• Delegate duties and support staff while ensuring patient safety.
• Utilize nursing knowledge to meet patient and facility needs.
• Float across clinical services as required and perform other duties.
