Job summary

Oceans Behavioral Hospital of Jackson, part of Oceans Healthcare, is expanding inpatient capacity for adult and senior behavioral health patients and adding an intensive outpatient program. The Registered Nurse will lead milieu management and direct nursing care across shifts on 12-hour rotations.

The role emphasizes safe medication delivery, accurate documentation, and professional development in alignment with Joint Commission and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license in the state of employment.
• Valid Compact licenses are acceptable where applicable.
• Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing.
• One year inpatient hospital experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Administers medications as prescribed and provides patient education on medications and safety.
• Maintains accurate and thorough documentation of patient symptoms, responses and progress.
• Performs ongoing patient care planning and discharge planning.
• Demonstrates professionalism and adherence to policy, regulatory, and quality standards.
• Supports staff through supervision, delegation, and ensuring continuity of care.
• Floats among clinical services and performs other duties as assigned.
