Job summary

Oceans Behavioral Hospital Alexandria seeks a Registered Nurse to lead milieu management and direct patient care for adults and seniors with anxiety, depression and other mental health conditions. You will administer medications, document patient progress, and ensure high-quality care in a psychiatric setting.

The role requires active RN licensure, an associate degree in nursing, and preferably 1 year of inpatient experience. CPR certification and de-escalation training are expected.

Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license in the state of employment.
• Compact licenses accepted where applicable.
• Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing.
• One year inpatient hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead milieu management and direct patient care activities.
• Ensure safe delivery of medications as prescribed and educate patients on meds.
• Accurately report and document patient symptoms, responses, and progress.
• Maintain records per policy; update medical records and physician orders.
• Supervise staff assignments and support to ensure continuity of care.
• Float across clinical services as needed and perform assigned duties.
