RWJBarnabas Health seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Psychiatric Inpatient program at Trinitas Regional Medical Center in Elizabeth, NJ. The unit supports patients five years and older with acute psychiatric and medical needs within a six-unit inpatient setting.

You will provide evidence-based nursing care, collaborate with physicians, educate patients and families, document in EPIC, and participate in rounds and performance improvement activities.

Formación

• Active New Jersey RN license or Multistate RN License with NJ endorsement.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification; ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing strongly preferred; School of Nursing accredited.
• At least 1 year of Behavioral Health Nursing experience required; Med/Surg/Telemetry preferred.
• Experience with EPIC EMR is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and intervene with strong clinical judgment.
• Provide safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands-on care.
• Serve as clinical partner to physicians, supporting timely care decisions.
• Educate patients and families clearly to prepare for next care steps.
• Document accurately in the EMR to promote continuity and safety.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and promote smooth transitions of care.
• Collaborate in a highly team-oriented environment and support unit goals.
• Organize age-specific care and participate in discharge planning.
